## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) JASON BUDICK, A STUDENT PILOT WAS BEING OBSERVED BY HIS INSTRUCTOR, ZOEY GUNN MAKING PRACTICE LANDINGS AT NORTH COUNTY AIRPORT, FLORIDA. ON HIS THIRD LANDING ON RUNWAY 8R, THE AIRCRAFT BOUNCED TO THE LEFT OF THE RUNWAY, THRU THE GRASS, ACROSS RUNWAY 13, A TAXIWAY, AND CAME TO A STOP IN A DITCH. THE AIRCRAFT ALSO HIT A RUNWAY LIGHT. THE AIRCRAFT SUFFERED DAMAGE TO THE NOSE LANDING GEAR, PROPELLER, ENGINE COWLING AND DISTORTED BOTH THE ENGINE FIREWALL AND DOOR POSTS. STATEMENTS FROM THE STUDENT AND INSTRUCTOR WERE PROVIDED TO THE FAA FORT LAUDERDALE OFFICE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
