INVESTIGATION REVEALED THAT WITH ELECTRICAL POWER APPLIED TO THE AIRCRAFT, THE GEAR UP LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED AND THE GEAR HORN SOUNDED. THE PILOT PROVIDED A STATEMENT TO THE EFFECT THAT HE FAILED TO PUT THE GEAR DOWN EVEN THOUGH THE WARNING HORN WAS SOUNDING. DAMAGE CONSISTED OF A BENT PROPELLER, ENGINE DAMAGE, AND SHEET METAL DAMAGE TO THE UNDERSIDE OF THE AIRCRAFT. FURTHER DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT OCCURRED WHEN GROUND PERSONNEL REMOVED THE AIRCRAFT FROM THE RUNWAY.

Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
