## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT STATED AT TIME OF ROTATION TO THE SOUTH, A NORTH WIND GUST CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO SETTLE BACK DOWN TO THE GROUND. AT THIS POINT THE WHEELS WERE IN THE WHEAT OFF THE END OF HIS PRIVATE STRIP. THE AIRCRAFT WAS APPROACHING A HIGHWAY, AND POWER LINE, SO HE MADE A DECISION TO LAND STRAIGHT AHEAD. THE AIRCRAFT ROLLED TO A STOP WITH THE RIGHT WING STRIKING A FENCE POST AND DAMAGING THE LEADING EDGE OUTBOARD OF THE WING STRUT. THE RIGHT SPRAY BOOM BENT BACK AND DAMAGED THE RIGHT HORIZONTAL STAB LEADING EDGE. ALSO THE LEFT LANDING GEAR STRUT WAS SPRUNG, AND MINOR DAMAGE TO THE PROP TIPS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
