## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT OF THE AIRCRAFT HAD BEEN AIRBORNE FOR APPROXIMATELY 45 PERFORMING PRACTICE MANEUVERS. WHILE IN A DESCENT FOR LANDING THE PILOT NOTICED A LOSS OF AIRSPEED. THE PILOT ATTEMPTED TO INCREASE POWER BY ADVANCING THE THROTTLE. THE ENGINE FAILED TO RESPOND. AN AUTOROTATION WAS INITIATED AND THE AIRCRAFT IMPACTED THE GROUND AND ROLLED ONTO IT'S LEFT SIDE (RESULTING IN SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT). THE PILOT EXITED THE AIRCRAFT WITH NO INJURIES.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong.
