## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON MONDAY, MARCH 31, 2003, AT APPROXIMATELY 01:23 P.M. A BEECHCRAFT BE-35-K35 CRASHED DURING TAKE OFF AT FRENCH VALLEY AIRPORT, TEMECULA, CALIFORNIA. IT WAS REPORTED THAT THE AIRCRAFT HAD FUEL INJECTION PROBLEMS AND RECEIVED MINOR DAMAGE. THE PILOT AND PASSENGERS RECEIVED NO INJURIES. THE PILOT REPORTED THAT HE MADE A NORMAL LANDING BUT DECIDED TO MAKE A TOUCH AND GO BUT WHEN HE STARTED TO RETRACT THE GEAR THE ENGINE QUIT. HE SAID "HE CHANGED FUEL TANKS AND THEN SWITCHED ON THE ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP BUT THE ENGINE DID NOT CONTINUED TO RUN." THE PILOT THEN MADE A LANDING STRAIGHT AHEAD AND THE NOSE WHEEL HIT A DITCH AND BROKE OFF.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
