## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) DURING A HIGH SPEED TAXI TEST OF EXPERIMENTAL N91438, THE AIRCRAFT ACCIDENTALLY LIFTED OFF RUNWAY 36 AT TIX AND BECAUSE OF CROSSWINDS THE PILOT WAS UNABLE TO IMMEDIATELY LAND. THE PILOT FLEW AROUND THE PATTERN FOR APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES ATTEMPTING TO LAND. ON HIS SECOND ATTEMPT TO LAND ON RUNWAY 36 AT TIX THE AIRCRAFT STARTED TO PORPOISE, AT THAT POINT THE PILOT LOST DIRECTIONAL CONTROL AND THE AIRCRAFT VEERED OFF THE LEFT SIDE ON THE RUNWAY APPROXIMATELY 300 FEET. WHEN THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST THE NOSE GEAR HAD COLLAPSED AND THE PROPELLER HAD BEEN DESTROYED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
