## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) DURING THE LANDING BACK AT CLEVELAND HOPKINS, THE STUDENT PILOT HAD THE CONTROLS AND LANDED TO THE RIGHT OF CENTERLINE ON 06C. THE FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR TOOK THE CONTROLS WHEN HE REALIZED THEY WOULD DEPART THE RUNWAY SURFACE AND LANDED THE AIRPLANE IN THE GRASS. A WIRE TO THE COMMUNICATION RADIO CAME LOOSE AND PREVENTED THE PILOT FROM TALKING TO THE TOWER. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS NOTIFIED AND ARRIVED ON THE SCENE. A B-757 WAS SENT AROUND. ACCORDING TO THE CFI, THE ATIS WAS CALLING THE WINDS 310@10 KNOTS AND A WINDCHECK ON FINAL STATED WINDS 310@14 KNOTS. THE AIRCRAFT WAS UNDAMAGED AND THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO AIRPORT PROPERTY. THE CFI AND STUDENT PILOT WERE NOT INJURED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
