## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT STATED THAT THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED DURING TAXI. NO INJURIES. FURTHER INVESTIGATION IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE NOSE GEAR TRUSS ASSEMBLY BROKE. THE NOSE GEAR TRUSS WAS SENT TO THE NTSB LAB. THE GEAR WAS INSPECTED AND COULD NOT DETERMINE WHY THE PART FAILED. THE AIRCRAFT RECORDS SHOW THAT THE NOSE GEAR WAS REPLACED BY A SERVICEABLE GEAR ON 11-30-1999. AIRCRAFT TIME AT REPLACEMENT WAS 1023 HOURS. CURRENT AIRCRAFT TIME IS 1841 HOURS. THE NOSE GEAR TRUSS TIME BEFORE INSTALLATION COULD NOT BE DETERMINED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
