## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT STATED THAT AFTER LANDING ON RUNWAY 27 THE LIFT DUMP DEVICES FAILED TO DEPLOY AFTER BEING SELECTED. PILOT USED THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO STOP THE AIRCRAFT BEFORE REACHING THE END OF THE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST ABOUT 300 FEET FROM THE END OF THE RUNWAY WITH THE LEFT MAIN GEAR IN SOFT GROUND AND RIGHT MAIN AND NOSE ON THE PAVEMENT. DAMAGE WAS LIMITED TO MAIN GEAR WHEELS AND TIRES AND TAILCONE. EVIDENCE INDICATED THAT THE PILOT MAY HAVE LANDED DOWNWIND. FAILURE OF THE LIFT DUMP SYSTEM HAS NOT BEEN ESTABLISHED AT THIS TIME.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
