## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON TAKEOFF, THE AIRCRAFT WHEELS DRAGGED IN A STAND OF WHEAT CAUSING ADDITIONAL DRAG. THE PILOT ATTEMPTED TO DUMP THE LOAD TO FLY AWAY, BUT, DUE TO THE CLOSE LOCATION OF THE SPRAY AND DUMP LEVERS GRABBED THE SPRAY LEVER BY MISTAKE. AIRCRAFT SLOWED, AND THE RIGHT WING DIPPED INTO THE WHEAT CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO CARTWHEEL. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST INVERTED WITH NO INFLIGHT OR POST CRASH FIRE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB FTW03LA136](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/FTW03LA136), Apr 18, 2003: Air Tractor AT-301 (N36531), Batchelor, LA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to abort the takeoff with adequate runway available. A contributing factor was the high density altitude.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
