## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT EXPERIENCED HIGHER THAN NORMAL RIGHT MAG DROP DURING PREFLIGHT THOUGH IT MAY BE FOULED PLUGS. AFTER TAKE OFF CHECKED MAG DROP, IN FLIGHT AND ENGINE STALLED. AFTER ENGINE RESTART NOTICED OIL PRESSURE DECREASING AND LANDED ON BEACH. DURING INSPECTION, MECHANIC NOTICED THAT THE RIGHT MAGNETO HAD FALLEN OFF THE MOUNT AND OIL SPRAYED OUT. NO ATTACHING HARDWARE COULD BE FOUND. LAST INSPECTION WAS IN JANUARY OF 2003.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
