## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON APRIL 22, 2003, AN EMB-145, N616AE, LANDED AT SYRACUSE AIRPORT, SYRACUSE, NY ON RUNWAY 28 AFTER REPORTING A FLAP CONTROL PROBLEM INBOUND. THE ARFF RESPONDED AND THE AIRCRAFT TAXIED TO THE RAMP WITHOUT INCIDENT. I CALLED THE APMI AND ASKED HIM TO LOOK INTO THIS MATTER AND HE SAID THAT CONTRACT MAINTENANCE CHANGED THE FLAP DRIVE MOTOR AND FLAP ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT. OPS CHECKED GOOD. THIS INCIDENT IS CONSIDERED CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
