## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) DURING A RECURRENT TRAINING FLIGHT, APPLICANT BOUNDED A BAD LANDING. A FULL RECOVERY AND GO AROUND WAS INITIATED; ON THE FOLLOWING DOWNWIND LEG THE GEAR OPERATED IN GOOD ORDER AND THREE GREEN LIGHTS WERE OBSERVED IN THE COCKPIT AND THREE GEAR DOWN WERE OBSERVED IN THE WING MOUNTED MIRROR. UPON A SOFT LANDING THE NOSE WHEEL DEPARTED THE AIRCRAFT AND WE PROCEEDED DOWN THE RUNWAY ON THE NOSE STRUT ONLY. CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT WAS NEVER LOST. THERE WAS NO COLLAPSING OF THE STRUT OR GEAR.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
