## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) FLIGHT CREW REPORTED INFLIGHT CONTROL PROBLEMS WITH ATLANTA CENTER AND REQUESTED DIVERT TO CHATTANOOGA FROM PLANNED FLIGHT ATLANTA-TORONTO. AIRCRAFT LANDED SAFELY AND PASSENGERS DEPLANED AT TERMINAL GATE. INVESTIGATION DISCLOSED THE RIGHT AILERON INBOARD AND OUTBOARD POWER CONTROL UNIT OUTPUT LINKS EXCEEDED THE PRESCRIBED TOLERANCE, WHICH ALLOWED THE RIGHT AILERON TO DEFLECT UPWARD, CAUSING AN UNCOMMANDED RIGHT BANK. APPARENTLY AIRFLOW WAS SUFFICIENT TO BLOW AILERON BACK DOWN. CYCLE WAS REPEATED SEVERAL TIMES DURING DIVERSION TO CHATTANOOGA.
