## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON MAY 23, 2003 AT 0830 MDT, A AEROSTAR INTERNATIONAL RX-8 BALLOON, N5013D, REGISTERED TO THE PILOT, MURRAY CONRAD, COLLIDED WITH THE BRICK CHIMNEY OF A RESIDENCE LOCATED AT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WHILE ON A PLEASURE FLIGHT. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME, NO FLIGHT PLAN FILED. THE BALLOON WAS NOT DAMAGED, THE PILOT AND PASSENGERS DID NOT RECEIVE ANY INJURIES. THE FLIGHT ORIGINATED FROM A BALLOON LAUNCH SITE KNOWN AS THE "GRAVEL PIT" LOCATED IN NORTHEAST ALBUQUERQUE, NM AT 0628 MDT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
