## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PIC FRANK BESCH WAS OPERATING A BE-35-K35, N9528R FROM BRD TO ILL. ON FINAL APPROACH INTO WILLMAR, MN (ILL) HE LOST ALL AIRCRAFT POWER. AIRCRAFT LANDED 1/8 TO 1/2 MILE SHORT OF THE RUNWAY. NO AIRCRAFT DAMAGE OR INJURIES TO PILOT. THE RIGHT AND AUX TANKS WERE NEARLY EMPTY AND THE LEFT FUEL TANK HAD APPROXIMATELY 15 GALLONS OF FUEL. THE FUEL SELECTOR WAS ON THE LEFT TANK. MAINTENANCE INPSECTION INDICATED THAT THE RIGHT AND AUX FUEL VENTS WERE CLEAR. THE LEFT FUEL VENT SHOWED SOME BLOCKAGE. BLOCKAGE OF THE LEFT VENT INDICATES A POSSIBLE LEFT FUEL FLOW RESTRICTION CAUSING AIRCRAFT TO LOSE POWER.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
