## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON JUNE 2, 2003 AT APPROXIMATELY 17:40 LOCAL TIME, GREAT LAKES AIRLINES FLIGHT 5120 HAD LANDED AT DENVER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AND WAS TAXIING INTO PARKING AT THE EAST END OF CONCOURSE A. GREAT LAKES AIRLINES RAMP MARSHAL WAS DIRECTING N299UX INTO ZONE 4. THE RAMP MARSHALL MOMENTARILY STOPPED N299UX TO MOVE A SET OF CHOCKS THAT WERE LYING ON THE RAMP. A SECOND GREAT LAKES AIRLINES EMPLOYEE, WHO WAS DRIVING A TUG, HAD BEEN BLOCKING THE VEHICLE SERVICE ROAD WITH THE TUG. AT THE POINT WHERE THE N299UX HAD STOPPED INITIALLY, WHILE THE RAMP MARSHALL WAS MOVING A SET OF CHOCKS FROM THE RAMP, THE TUG DRIVER PULLED UP TO THE CARGO DOOR (LEFT REAR FUSELAGE) OF N299UX. THE RAMP MARSHALL COULD NOT SEE THE TUG FROM HIS POSITION, AND STARTED TO DIRECT N299UX IN A TURN FOR THE FINAL PARKING POSITION. AS THE AIRCRAFT TURNED, THE LEFT REAR FUSELAGE STRUCK A CANOPY ON THE TUG.
