(-23) THE PILOT WAS ATTEMPTING A TAKEOFF DOWN THE GLACIER IN "STICKY" AND "SLUSHY" SNOW CONDITIONS. THE AIRCRAFT WAS NOT ACCELERATING PROPERLY, SO THE PILOT ABORTED THE TAKEOFF. WHILE TAXIING BACK TO PARKING AND IN A LEFT TURN, THE RIGHT WHEEL-SKI SUNK INTO SOFT SNOW AND COLLAPSED. THE AIRCRAFT FLIPPED OVER. (-23 AMENDMENT) THE PILOT WAS ATTEMPTING A TAKEOFF DOWN THE GLACIER IN "STICKY" AND "SLUSHY" SNOW CONDITIONS. THE AIRCRAFT WAS NOT ACCELERATING PROPERLY, SO THE PILOT ABORTED THE TAKEOFF. WHILE TAXIING BACK TO PARKING IN A LEFT TURN AT HIGHER THAN NORMAL TAXI SPEED, THE RIGHT WHEEL-SKI SUNK INTO SOFT SNOW AND OVERLOADED THE GEAR LEG, CAUSING THE UPPER GEAR ATTACH BOLT TO FAIL, AND THE GEAR LEG TO COLLAPSE. THE AIRCRAFT FLIPPED OVER.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)
