## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ^PRIVACY DATA ^ DISTRIBUTION: AFS-300, GL-23, AEA-230 #2 ENGINE OIL PRESSURE WAS DROPPING IN CRUISE. THE CREW REDUCED POWER AS PER CHECK LIST AND PRESSURE CONTINUE TO DROP. THE ENGINE WAS SHUT DOWN AND THE AIRCRAFT LANDED AT ROC. ENGINE OIL WAS FOUND ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE #2 ENGINE COWLING AND RIGHT SIDE OF THE TAIL. IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE "O" RING ON THE OIL FILTER COVER WAS NICKED DURING INSTALLATION AND WAS THE CAUSE OF THE LEAK.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
