THE PILOT STATED HE TOUCHED DOWN ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A THREE POINT LANDING AND REBOUNDED INTO THE AIR. THE RIGHT WING LIFTED FROM A WIND GUST AND POWER APPLICATION RESULTING IN THE LEFT WING TIP CONTACTING THE RUNWAY. ## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB NYC03LA141](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/NYC03LA141), Jun 29, 2003: Cessna 170B (N2741C), Brandy Station, VA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's improper flare and his improper recovery from a bounced landing.
