## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

BERNARD JUDE SCHEELER, OPERATOR OF N255BS, A CIRRUS, SR-22, DAMAGED THE AIRPLANE WHILE LANDING ON RUNWAY 36 AT PECAN PLANTATION AIRPORT, (OTX1). THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED AFTER LANDING SHORT OF THE RUNWAY AND IMPACTING THE RUNWAY LEDGE. A GO-AROUND WAS EFFECTED. A SECOND ATTEMPT AT LANDING RESULTED IN A SECOND GO-AROUND. ON THE THIRD ATTEMPT AT LANDING, THE LEFT MAIN GEAR COLLAPSED AND THE AIRPLANE PROCEEDED TO SLIDE OFF THE END OF THE RUNWAY. NO INJURIES WERE SUSTAINED BY MR. SCHEELER OR HIS PASSENGER.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
