## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT REPORTED THE ENGINE LOST POWER WHILE HE WAS MAKING THE BASE TURN TO LAND RWY 17 RT HENDERSON NV AIRPORT. THE AIRCRAFT MADE A GEAR UP LANDING ONE HALF MILE FROM RWY. THE PILOT AND THREE PASSENGERS WERE NOT INJURED. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE. FUEL WAS PRESENT IN BOTH FUEL TANKS AND THE PROPELLER WAS FREE WITH NO BINDING. THE ENGINE HAD ACCUMULATED 30 HOURS SINCE ITS LAST OVERHAUL. THIS REPORT WILL BE UPDATED AS AN AMENDMENT AS MORE INFORMATION FROM THE NTSB IS GATHERED FROM THE ENGINE INSPECTION.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB LAX03LA218](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/LAX03LA218), Jun 30, 2003: Cessna 210 (N9544T), Henderson, NV, substantial damage. Probable cause: A bolt in the fuel selector that restricted the flow of fuel to the engine, which resulted in fuel starvation and a partial loss of engine power during the final approach to land.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
