## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB NYC03LA146](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/NYC03LA146), Jul 2, 2003: Cessna 172N (N314TM), Linden, NJ, substantial damage. Probable cause: The mechanic's improper installation of the carburetor, and his failure to secure the mixture control wire to the mixture control arm pivot bolt.

- [Incident 19801116086499I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19801116086499I), Nov 16, 1980: Cessna 172 (N314TM), Camarillo, CA, Minor damage. Zd pilot lost directional control after landing in gusty wind condition.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System.
