## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT WAS EXECUTING A VFR APPROACH AND LANDING ON RUNWAY 34 AT VERNAL, UTAH AIRPORT. THE AIRPLANE ENTERED A GROUND LOOP. THIS WAS ORIGINALLY CLASSIFIED AS AN INCIDENT. FOLLOWING AN ON-SITE INSPECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT BY AN AIRWORTHINESS INSPECTOR FROM THE SLC-FSDO, IT HAS BEEN DETERMINED THAT THE DAMAGE WAS MORE EXTENSIVE THAN FIRST BELIEVED. THEREFORE, THIS IS BEING RECLASSIFIED AS AN AIRCRAFT ACCIDENT. THIS IS AN INTERIM REPORT, WHEN ALL OF THE FACTS BECOME AVAILABLE, A FINAL REPORT WILL BE ISSUED. DENVER NTSB HAS ASSIGNED A FILE NUMBER OF DEN03LA131.
