## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) MR. JAMES BAUM STATED THAT HE HAD LANDED ON A BEACH WITH HIS GIRLFRIEND AND AFTER GETTING OUT, HE DISCOVERED THAT THERE WERE SOME SOFT SPOTS IN THE SAND AND HE ELECTED TO MOVE THE AIRCRAFT TO HIGHER GROUND. IN THE PROCESS OF DOING THIS, HE HIT SOME ROCKS AND THE AIRCRAFT OVERTURNED. HE ALSO STATED THAT THE TIDE CAME IN AND MOVED THE AIRCRAFT AROUND QUITE A BIT MORE AND DID SOME MORE DAMAGE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
