## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) WHILE CONDUCTING AN OFF AIRPORT LANDING TO A DIRT ROAD FOR TRAINING WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURAL, WILDLIFE SERVICES, THE AIRCRAFT TOUCHED DOWN ON A THREE POINT LANDING AND THEN AIRBORNE AGAIN APPROXIMATELY ONE FOOT OFF THE GROUND. THE AIRCRAFT THEN SETTLED BACK DOWN ON THE ROAD AND STARTED TO DRIFT TO THE RIGHT. THE PILOT APPLIED LEFT RUDDER AND FULL POWER. THE ENGINE DID NOT RESPOND IMMEDIATELY AND THE RUDDER INPUT WAS NOT EFFECTIVE. THE PILOT THEN APPLIED HARD LEFT BRAKE TO COMPENSATE FOR THE RIGHT DRIFT BUT THE GRAVEL ROAD WAS LOOSE AND INEFFECTIVE BRAKING RESULTED. THE RIGHT MAIN WHEEL SLID OFF THE ROAD AND THE AIRCRAFT ENTERED THE DITCH AND FLIPPED OVER.
