## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON 07/17/03 I INVESTIGATED THE ACCIDENT OF AIRCRAFT N9110T A BUCCANEER II. ALL FLIGHT CONTROLS WERE CHECKED FOR CONTINUITY AND FOUND OPERATIVE. A VISUAL INSPECTION OF THE FUEL TANKS, FUEL VALVE AND SUMP PORTS WERE PERFORMED. FUEL SAMPLES WERE TAKEN. NO WATER WAS PRESENT AT THE TIME OF THE FUEL SYSTEM INSPECTION. FURTHER INVESTIGATION REVEALED THE THROTTLE CABLE HAD BROKEN AT THE CARBURETOR CONNECTION. THE LEFT MAIN GEAR SEPARATED AT THE KEEL BEAM ATTACH POINT. THE LEFT FLAP WAS DAMAGED DUE TO THE PROPELLER STRIKING IT ON IMPACT. EXAMINATION OF THE CRASH SITE REVEALED THE AIRPLANE COLLIDED WITH THE GROUND IN A NOSE DOWN LEFT WING LOW ATTITUDE. THE LEFT WING WAS COMPRESSED AFT AND SUSTAINED ACCORDION CRUSH FROM THE WING ROOT EXTENDING OUTBOARD.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong.
