PILOT AGAIN OVERCORRECTED, AND AIRCRAFT BEGAN ANOTHER RIGHT LOOP. RUDDER INPUT THIS TIME HAD NO EFFECT DURING CORRECTION, AND AIRCRAFT EXITED RIGHT SIDE OF RUNWAY, STRIKING EARTHMOVER PARKED APPROXIMATELY 100 FEET AWAY FROM RUNWAY, ON NORTHWEST SIDE OF RUNWAY. ## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CHI03LA235](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CHI03LA235), Jul 29, 2003: Aeronca 11AC (N86233), Brighton, MI, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's directional control not possible resulting from the rudder control assembly separation during the landing. A factor was the construction vehicle that the airplane impacted.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
