## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AIRCRAFT CLEARED TO LAND ON RUNWAY 36 AT MSN. AIRCRAFT TOUCHED DOWN APPROXIMATELY HALF WAY DOWN THE RUNWAY AND BOUNCED. THE NOSE WHEEL CONTACTED THE RUNWAY AND THE AIRCRAFT PORPOISED INTO THE AIR TWO MORE TIMES, THE NOSEWHEEL CONTACTING THE RUNWAY AT THE COMPLETION OF EACH PORPOISE. WITH APPROXIMATELY 1,000 FEET OF RUNWAY REMAINING, THE AIRCRAFT WENT AROUND AND RETURNED TO RUNWAY 36 FOR AN UNEVENTFUL LANDING. INSPECTION OF AIRCRAFT BY MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL DETERMINED THAT THE NOSE STRUT CRUSH TAPE WAS COMPROMISED. HARD LANDING SPECIAL INSPECTION WAS COMPLETED IN ACCORDANCE WITH DO-328 MAINTENANCE MANUAL, D AND O, SECTION 05-51-01. NO DEFECTS NOTED. AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE AND FERRIED TO CVG ON 08-03-03.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
