(-23) MR. DOYLE DAVIDSON, AS PILOT IN COMMAND OF N78266, EXPERIENCED COMMUNICATION FAILURE WHILE APPROACHING HUTCHINSON MUNICIPAL AIRPORT IN VFR CONDITION. MR. DAVIDSON FAILED TO ESTABLISH TWO WAY RADIO COMMUNICATIONS PRIOR TO ENTERING CLASS D AIRSPACE BUT DID RECEIVE A GREEN LIGHT FROM THE TOWER PRIOR TO LANDING.
