## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) MR. PAQUIN STATED THAT THIS WAS HIS FIRST SOLO FLIGHT IN A GLIDER, AND THIRD FLIGHT THAT DAY. MR. PAQUIN FLEW A NORMAL TRAFFIC PATTERN AND CHECKED (EXTENDED AND RETRACTED) THE SPOILERS ON DOWNWIND. MR. PAQUIN STATED HE WAS A LITTLE HIGH ON THE BASE LEG AND SLIPPED THE GLIDER TO LOSE ALTITUDE. MR. PAQUIN STATED HE TOUCHED DOWN ON THE RUNWAY PRIOR TO THE RUNWAY END, THEN BOUNCED OVER A DIRT BIRM AND INTO THE CORNFIELD. THE GLIDER WENT SLIGHTLY MORE THAN 1 FUSELAGE LENGTH INTO THE CORNFIELD. MR. PAQUIN STATED HE WAS NOT FATIGUED PRIOR TO THE ACCIDENT. MR. PAQUIN STATED HE DID NOT DEPLOY THE FLAPS FOR LANDING BUT WAS UNSURE WHETHER HE DEPLOYED THE SPOILERS.

A factor…

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong.
