## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED RWY01 AT 7B9. AT APPROX 600 TO 700 FEET AGL THE ENGINE QUIT. THE PILOT PERFORMED A LEFT 180 DEGREE TURN BACK TO A FIELD NORTH OF THE AIRPORT DUE TO NO SUITABLE FORCED LANDING AREA AHEAD OF THE AIRCRAFT. THE NOSE GEAR WAS SHEARED OFF AND THE MAIN GEAR WAS DAMAGED DUE TO ROUGH TERRAIN. THE PILOT HAD A BRUISE TO HIS STOMACH.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
