## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS CONSUMING HIS OWN LITER OF ALCOHOL ABOARD NORTHWEST FLIGHT 1820. ^PRIVACY DATA^ WAS TRAVELING WITH A GROUP OF PASSENGERS THAT WERE IN CLEVELAND FOR A SOCCER TOURNAMENT. ^PRIVACY DATA^ BECAME DISRUPTIVE AND CONFRONTATIONAL WITH THE CABIN CREW AS A RESULT OF THEIR DRINKING. THE CREWMEMBERS CONFRONTED THE GROUP AND CONFISCATED THE ALCOHOL FROM THEM, IT WAS "SLIVOVEC" A PLUM BRANDY. A FLIGHT CREW MEMBER ASKED ^PRIVACY DATA^ IF HE INDEED BROUGHT THE ALCOHOL ONTO THE AIRCRAFT AND HE WAS QUOTED AS SAYING "YES" HE DID.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
