## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ACCORDING TO PIC, WHILE ON PLEASURE TRIP FROM HIO TO RDM, FIRST TIME TO THE REDMOND AIRPORT, NORMAL APPROACH, BUT REALIZED HE WAS TOO HIGH, APPLIED FULL TO GO AROUND BUT THE MAIN GEAR HAD TOUCHED DOWN. THE AIRCRAFT BOUNCED AND YAW SHARPLY TO THE LEFT DEPARTING THE RUNWAY. APPLIED RUDDER AND BANKED SLIGHTLY TO GET BACK ON THE RUNWAY, AND EXECUTED A NORMAL LANDING FROM THAT POINT. DAMAGE LIMITED TO LEFT LANDING GEAR FAIRING, TAIL CONE FAIRING AND TIE DOWN RING.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
