## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

UPON RETURN TO THE SAME AIRPORT, THE MAIN LANDING GEAR WOULD NOT EXTEND COMPLETELY. THE PILOT REPORTED TO THE TOWER THAT HE WOULD HAVE TO INITIATE AN EMERGENCY LANDING. THE PILOT WAS ABLE TO RETRACT THE GEAR AND MADE A SUCCESSFUL EMERGENCY GEAR UP LANDING WITH MINIMAL DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT. POST EXAMINATION OF THE LANDING GEAR SYSTEM BY A 14 CFR PART 145 REPAIR STATION REVEALED THAT THE MAIN LANDING GEAR ACTUATOR HAD FRACTURED AND FAILED. THE REPAIR STATION WILL SUBMIT A MALFUNCTION DEFECT REPORT AS REQUIRED BY THEIR INSPECTION PROCEDURES MANUAL.

Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
