## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT STARTED THE ENGINE AND BEGAN TO TAXI WHEN HE FELT THE LANDING GEAR ROLL ONTO AN OBJECT. THE PLANE STOPPED. THE PILOT WAVED HIS GIRLFRIEND INTO THE AREA TO SEE WHAT THE GEAR WAS HITTING. AFTER A BRIEF CONVERSATION, THE GIRLFRIEND TURNED AROUND AND WALKED AWAY FROM THE PLANE AT AN 45 DEGREE ANGLE. THE PROP STRUCK HER RIGHT ARM AND SEVERED IT ABOVE THE ELBOW. THE PILOT IMMEDIATELY STOPPED THE ENGINE AND ASSISTED HIS GIRLFRIEND. THE PILOT THOUGHT HE MAY HAVE TAXIED ONTO A TIEDOWN CHAIN.
