## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT PLANNED ON MAKING A LOW APPROACH OVER A REMOTE LANDING SITE TO ASSURE THAT IT WAS SAFE. HE STATES UPON REACHING THE APPROACH END OF THE RUNWAY, HE ADDED FULL POWER TO MAKE A GO-AROUND AND THE ENGINE DID NOT APPEAR TO DEVELOP FULL POWER. THE PILOT CONTINUED DOWN THE RUNWAY UNTIL CONTACING THE TREES AT THE OTHER END. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ANC03CA109](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ANC03CA109), Sep 6, 2003: Maule M-6-235 (N4564B), Kenai, AK, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain adequate altitude/clearance during an intentional go-around, which resulted in an in-flight collision with trees.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
