## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) N224X (SNJ-T-6) WAS PARKED IN THE RUN-UP AREA OF RUNWAY 19 AT KENT STATE AIRPORT (1G3). AIRCRAFT N119KS WAS HOLDING SHORT OF RWY 19 FOR TAKE-OFF, AS N224X PULLED OUT OF THE RUN-UP AREA, LEFT TURN TO THE EAST, IT STRUCK N119KS WITH HIS RIGHT WING. N119KS WAS HIT FROM BEHIND AND ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE AIRCRAFT. N119KS SUSTAINED DAMAGE TO THE LEFT REAR WINDOW AND MINOR SURFACE DAMAGE TO THE LEFT WING STRUT. N224X SUFFERED MINOR DAMAGE TO HIS RIGHT WING AND RIGHT PITOT TUBE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES TO ANY PERSONS. MR. WHELAN HAS AN INHERENT PROBLEM WITH FORWARD VISIBILITY IN THE OPERATION OF HIS CONVENTIONAL GEARED SNJ T-6. THERE WAS INCREASED AIRCRAFT TRAFFIC FOR AVIATION DAY AT KENT STATE AIRPORT AND THE RAMP WAS VERY CONGESTED. DUE TO THE POSITION OF HIS AIRCRAFT MR. WHELAN WAS NOT ABLE TO SEE THE AIRCRAFT, N119KS, PARKED IN FRONT OF HIM.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
