## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) DURING THE APPROACH TO, AND AS THE AIRCRAFT CROSSED THE THRESHOLD TO RUNWAY 31 AT HOMEDALE AIRPORT, IDAHO, THE PILOT STATED THAT HE ENCOUNTERED A SIGNIFICANT WIND SHEAR CONDITION THAT HE COULD NOT COUNTERACT WITH THE ADDITION OF POWER OR FLIGHT CONTROLS. THE AIRCRAFT SUBSEQUENTLY DROPPED HARD TO THE RUNWAY SURFACE DAMAGING THE ENGINE MOUNT TUBING AND THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR OLEO STRUT. NO OTHER STRUCTURAL DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT NOTED. THE PROPELLER DID NOT MAKE CONTACT WITH THE RUNWAY SURFACE, AND THE ENGINE DID NOT SUSTAIN A SUDDEN STOP. NEITHER THE PILOT OR HIS PASSENGER WERE INJURED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
