## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON SEPTEMBER 15, 2003 PILOT ANNE MARIE HOPKINS FLEW HER AIRCRAFT A GREAT LAKES N22TE FROM THE MORRISTOWN AIRPORT TO THE SEYMOUR TN AIRPORT. THE SEYMOUR AIRPORT IS A GRASS LANDING STRIP. DURING THE LANDING THE AIRCRAFT DRIFTED TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE LANDING STRIP AND STRUCK SOME BRUSH. THE BRUSH WAS APPROXIMATELY 10 FEET HIGH AND CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO FLIP UPSIDE DOWN RESULTING IN CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ATL03LA138](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ATL03LA138), Sep 15, 2003: Great Lakes 2T-1A-2 (N22TE), Seymour, TN, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain clearance during the final approach to land which resulted in an inflight collision with a tree.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
