## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON SEPTEMBER 24, 2003, AT APPROXIMATELY 0830 CDT, CESSNA CE-152, N25302, EXPERIENCED A POWER LOSS ON LANDING APPROACH TO RUNWAY 18 AT LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, ADAMS FIELD (LIT). THE COMMERCIAL RATED PILOT STATED THAT THE ENGINE LOST ALL POWER. HE THEN ATTEMPTED TO EXECUTE AN OFF AIRPORT LANDING ON A LEVY ROAD. THE AIRCRAFT WAS SUCCESSFULLY LANDED AND CAME TO REST IN A FIELD. THE PILOT WAS THE SOLE OCCUPANT ON BOARD AND DID NOT RECEIVE ANY INJURIES. THE AIRCRAFT WAS NOT DAMAGED. THE AIRPLANE IS REGISTERED TO DIRECT FLIGHT, INC. IN DOVER, DELAWARE. INVESTIGATION DETERMINED THE AIRCRAFT ENGINE STOPPED PRODUCING POWER AS A RESULT OF FUEL STARVATION. THE INVESTIGATION INCLUDED REFUELING THE AIRCRAFT. THAT REFUELING REQUIRED 26.6 U.S. GALLONS TO COMPLETELY FILL THE FUEL SYSTEM. THE RATED CAPACITY OF THE AIRCRAFT'S FUEL SYSTEM IS 26 U.S. GALLONS. ADDITIONALLY, IN A POST-INCIDENT INTERVIEW THE PILOT STATED, "I RAN OUT OF GAS." DAY VMC PREVAILED, AND NO FLIGHT PLAN WAS FILED FOR THE 14 CODE OF FEDERAL REGULATIONS PART 91 FLIGHT. THE FLIGHT ORIGINATED IN LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
