## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT ATTEMPTED LANDING ON SHORT PRIVATE GRASS STRIP 30 MILES EAST OF ROSEBURG. PILOT NOTED THAT HE WAS TOO FAST TO LAND AND TRIED TO GO AROUND. HE WAS UNABLE TO ACHIEVE A RATE OF CLIMB SUFFICIENT TO CLEAR A BARBED WIRE FENCE AT THE END OF THE STRIP. THE LANDING GEAR CAUGHT THE TOP OF THE BARBED WIRE CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE TO THE GEAR ASSEMBLY. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
