## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE ENGINE STOPPED RUNNING ON A STRAIGHT IN APPROACH TO RVS RUNWAY 1. THE PILOT LANDED THE AIRCRAFT APPROXIMATELY 1 MILE SOUTH OF RVS AIRPORT IN A PASTURE. THE AIRCRAFT LEFT WING TIP CAUGHT OVER HANGING TREE LIMBS AND TURNED THE AIRCRAFT INTO THE TREE LINE. THERE WAS MINOR DAMAGE TO THE LEFT WING, PROPELLER AND ENGINE COWLING. EXAMINATION OF THE AIRCRAFT REVEALED WATER CONTAMINATION IN THE FUEL. SOME WATER WAS DRAINED FROM THE FUEL STRAINER AND THE DRAIN PLUG WAS REMOVED CARBURETOR. ABOUT 4 TO 6 OUNCES OF WATER AND FUEL WAS DRAINED FROM THE FLOAT BOWL. (1/3 FUEL 2/3 WATER)

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
