## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED SUS AT 10:15 AM ON A PLEASURE FLIGHT. THE AIRCRAFT LOST ENGINE POWER AT 10:28 AM AND THE PILOT MADE AN EMERGENCY LANDING ON A ROAD NEAR AUGUSTA MO. DURING THE LANDING ROLLOUT THE AIRCRAFT NOSE GEAR TOUCHED THE GROUND AND THE AIRCRAFT FLIPPED OVER ON ITS BACK. (-23 AMENDMENT) FURTHER INVESTIGATION FOUND THE ENGINE SUPER CHARGER BELT CAME OFF AND WENT INTO THE ALTERNATOR DRIVE BELT. BOTH BELTS DAMAGED THE PLASTIC TIMING BELT COVER ALLOWING PART OF THE BELTS TO JAM THE TIMING BELT DRIVE GEAR TO THE CAMS; THIS ALTERED THE ENGINE TIMING CAUSING THE ENGINE TO SHUT DOWN. PROBABLE CAUSE WAS THE SUPER CHARGER BELT DRIVE ALIGNMENT.
