## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) N765MK DEPARTED GBG AT APPROXIMATELY 4:15 AM WITH THE INTENDED DESTINATION OF AURORA, IL. APPROXIMATELY 10 MINUTES INTO THE FLIGHT THE PILOT NOTICED THE ENGINE STARTED RUNNING ROUGH. THE PILOT DECLARED A MAYDAY AND ASKED CHIGAGO ARTCC FOR DIRECTIONS BACK TO GBG. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED AT GBG ON RUNWAY 21. THE AIRCRAFT BLEW THE LEFT TIRE DURING LANDING CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE TO THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR DOOR.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
