(-23) ON SATURDAY OCTOBER 25, 2003, 1733 EST, A CESSNA CITATION CE-S550, S/N S550-0080, OPERATED BY RELIANT AIRLINES, INC., EXPERIENCED SMOKE IN THE CABIN/COCKPIT. THE AIRCRAFT WAS ENROUTE TO PROVIDENCE, RI, AND DIVERTED AND LANDED ON RUNWAY 16 AT THE BINGHAMTON REGIONAL AIRPORT (KBGM). THE CABIN BLOWER ASSEMBLY WAS DEFERRED, AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE. INSTRUMENT METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME, AND AN IFR FLIGHT PLAN WAS FILED. THE AIRCRAFT WAS NOT DAMAGED, AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE FLIGHT ORIGINATED AT THE TOMPKINS COUNTY AIRPORT (KITH) NY ON OCTOBER 25, 2003, AT APPROXIMATELY 1723 EDT. THIS INCIDENT IS CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
