## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT WAS RETURNING TO THE RAMP AFTER COMPLETING FIRST SOLO FLIGHT AND STRUCK THE SPINNER OF N3048L WITH THE LEFT WING TIP OF N4363X. THE OTHER AIRCRAFT WAS NOT OCCUPIED. THE TAXI-WAY CENTERLINE MEASURED 19' FROM THE SPINNER OF N3048L. THE DISTANCE FROM THE CENTERLINE TO THE AIRCRAFT RUDDER ON THE RIGHT WAS 24' OR A TOTAL OF 43' CLEARANCE. STUDENT SAID THAT HE THOUGHT THAT HE WAS ON THE CENTERLINE AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
