## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT DEPARTED THE WINCHESTER AIRPORT FOR A FLIGHT BACK TO HIS RESIDENCE/HOME AIRPORT. THE AIRCRAFT WAS A ULTRA-LIGHT "S-12 AIRAILE" SIDE BY SIDE SEATING TWO PLACE TRIGEAR IN A PUSHER CONFIGURATION. UPON ARRIVAL AT HIS HOME GRASS STRIP THE PILOT INITIATED A TOUCH AND GO AND LANDED LONG. THE AIRCRAFT STALLED AND SPUN AS HE ATTEMPTED TO CLEAR THE TREES DURING HIS CLIMB. THE AIRCRAFT IMPACTED THE GROUND INVERTED, THE PILOT WAS KILLED ON IMPACT AND THERE WAS NO FIRE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
