## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AIRCRAFT DEPARTED MGY ON A MAINTENANCE FLIGHT WHEN THE WEATHER (ASOS) WAS 400 OVST. AND VISIBILITY BETWEEN 1 AND 1 1/2 MILES. MR. PAUL POSTI, PIC OF HS-125, N234JB, HAD JUST LANDED ON AN INSTRUMENT APPROACH AT MGY AND OBSERVED N30HC DEPART VFR IN LOW VISIBILITY WEATHER CONDITIONS AND OBSERVED THE CE-310 GO INTO THE OVERCAST. THINKING THE PILOT WAS FLYING UNSAFELY, IN HIS OPINION, CALLED DAYTON ATCT AND FILED AN OFFICIAL REPORT. THE PILOT WAS CONTACTED BY THE FAA AND WAS TOLD THE AIRCRAFT DID NOT GO INTO THE OVERCAST AND REMAINED BELOW 7000 FT. AGL WITH THE VISIBILITY OF 1 SM OR GREATER, THE AIRCRAFT REMAINED IN UNCONTROLLED AIRSPACE AND DID NOT VIOLATE ANY REGULATION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
