## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON NOVEMBER 20, 2003 AT 2010, MR. DENNIS M. CONNELLY TAXIED HIS AIRCRAFT TO GRIFFIN AVIATION IN HYANNIS, MA. IT WAS A WINDY RAINY NIGHT. THE RAMP WAS COMPLETELY UNLIT. WHEN MR. CONNELLY TURNED HIS AIRCRAFT 180 DEGREES HIS RIGHT WINGLET SLICED THE UNDERSIDE OF THE LEFT WING ON A CESSNA 172, N37701 THAT WAS PARKED IN FRONT OF GRIFFIN AVIATION. MR. CONNELLY REPORTED THAT HIS AIRCRAFT HAD STARTED TO SKID SO HE SHUT IT DOWN AND HAD IT TOWED TO AN OPEN TIE DOWN. MR. CONNELLY STATED HE DID NOT REALIZE HAD HAD CONTACTED THE CESSNA UNTIL IT WAS BROUGHT TO HIS ATTENTION THE NEXT DAY. MINOR DAMAGE TO THE RIGHT WINGLET OF N141K. SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE LEFT WING OF N37701.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
